Originally published in 1911, it was written by Edward Ashenbach (1871-1912), a veteran of 21 minor league seasons as a player, manager, and team owner. It’s a collection of baseball stories and anecdotes from the late 19th and early 20th centuries gathered during his career. This hard-to-find book is now being offered as a BrayBree Vintage Edition, which means its contains a reprint of the first edition as it was originally printed as well as new additions such as an index and a foreword about Ashenbach’s playing and managerial career.
