A Sacred High Place: A History of Mount Carmel Cemetery and Meeting House, McNairy County, Tennessee by John E. Talbott shares the story of a rural cemetery in northeast McNairy County near the village of Finger, Tennessee, and the interesting people buried there. From a hobo whose tombstone was paid for by men of the community to the first white child born in McNairy County, this book shares many of their stories in prose and photographs. It also provides genealogists with an updated census of burials up to the present time.
